What is a BiznessTree…..
A bit about the founder first……
All his life the founder has had a fascination with the question “what makes businesses succeed, why doe some prosper whilst most stagnate and die”. He has worked for some of the largest firms in the world (PricewaterhouseCoopers) helping businessess in times of trouble as well as sound businesses to expand increase value and realise assets.
Born in a small town in the UK, he realised very early on that there was a big world out there and wanted to explore all of its riches. He applied himself to being the best he could be in all areas of his life, a sportsman, loving son to his wonderful parents and a determined scholar. Going to his careers teacher when he was 15 and asking “can I choose economics, maths and computers as subjects together”, he was told that they would never go together. So much for the system. But he believed these people and dutifully studied engineering, qualifying with an honours degree.
Working in engineering lasted all of one year (by the way he didn’t realise then that engineering would be invaluable in his career as a probelm solving tool). He applied from South Africa for jobs in accounting firms and got what he wanted (a place with Arthur Anderson in the UK – people said it would be too hard to get a place with them because they are the best!) – he wanted to learn this world of finance with the best (but had no money for a MBA).
After 3 years of study, he qualified, got married and traveled the world for his ‘break’ (a bit late but always the explorer). On returning he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers for some of the most formative years and influential experience of his working life, helping companies to turn around their affairs from a place of insolvency to thriving. Then to Australia and he was lost for a while after the heights of the UK, not realising that every company he went into, he made phenomenal changes until one day he said to himself that this gift is destined for the world. After a divorce which floored him (almost bankrupt, physically devastated, emotionally wrecked, spiritually devoid), he said never again will I quit until I have created an extraordinary life for me and my family and delivered my God given gifts to the world.
And so to BiznessTree…
As well as the question what makes companies succeed or fail, he had this desire to find business models of the future and help businesses to turnaround and the owners realise their asset in the business (he could see that they had jobs not a business). He asked the question “how can businesses thrive and prosper in a rapidly changing economy and deliver the lifestyle and conditions the business owner always dreamed of (not a job like in most cases).
A set of DVD’s was sent to Phil (by his friend Tony Robbins), explaining the new wave of business models … wow, this was it, a business model of the future with all technology taken care of. He had ‘dabbled’ in this area, but hadn’t crack it, but these people had. Two more DVD’s came and then the gift of a weekend in San Diego learning the process for internet businesses – this is it, the passion realised.
Entrepreneurs start their businesses with ideas and passions and take these to certain levels before they reach a plateau, unless they grow. But…
They do not have the time, knowledge or energy to find the distinctions for their businesses to grow beyond their current position.
BiznessTree is the trunk that supports the entrepreneurs (the branches) feeding the nutrients to the business owner and supporting them so that they grow and expand and bear fruit from their labours. BiznessTree helps small and medium businesses to turn information knowledge and systems into assets which pay for life, both online and offline.
Phil is a systems man, BiznessTree is all about support systems for growth……
